Every month throughout the year, there is something of interest taking place in Limassol, in the form of seasonal festivals, local events and religious celebrations. Popular things to do in Limassol include the springtime carnival processions in late February / early March, roughly six weeks prior to Easter, commencing with the arrival of the King Carnival.
These carnival festivities are the biggest on Cyprus and last around 11 days, with all kinds of entertainment options, such as fancy dress competitions, a children's parade, food stalls, open-air live music and Cypriot sporting events. However, it is the Limassol Wine Festival each September that draws the largest crowds. What to See... |
